When you think, see or experience something that’s not right
If you know or suspect any staff of IDH or third party working on behalf of IDH is engaging in conduct that violates IDH’s values, policies or national laws and regulations it is important to report this. Speaking up is important and the right thing to do. IDH offers its reporting mechanisms to anyone outside the organization that becomes aware of (potential) misconduct related to IDH.
Examples of concerns that you can raise are (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Human rights violations
- Threats or acts of violence
- Fraud
- Conflicts of interest
- Bribery or corruption
- Disclosure of confidential information
- Any behaviour that restricts competition
- Improper use of company resources or donor funding
- Discrimination
- Environmental, health and safety issues
- Sexual harassment, abuse or exploitation
- Violation of any of our (other) policies
- Bullying
- Violation of any applicable law or regulation
How can you report your concern?
- Speak to your contact person at IDH
You should always feel free to discuss any concern regarding misconduct with your contact person at IDH.
OR
- Report using IDH’s SpeakUp system
If you don’t feel comfortable discussing your concern with your contact person at IDH, IDH provides you and all other stakeholders with a dedicated communication channel to report (suspicions of) potential misconduct: IDH’s SpeakUp System.
In our SpeakUp System you can raise your concern confidentially and in your own language. The SpeakUp system is ran by an independent 3rd party and available 24/7/365. You can report through the SpeakUp system as follows:

ONLINE To report misconduct online, please visit IDH’s SpeakUp system where you can fill in a form to submit your concern.
BY PHONE To report misconduct by phone, please call the SpeakUp line in your country (free of charge). Click here to find your local phone number.
Important:
- If your country is not listed in the SpeakUp system, please select the Netherlands to file a report of your concern online.
- After reporting, you will receive a personal referral number. Write this down and save it carefully. This number is your personal access code to IDH’s Speak Up system and your report. With this referral number you can track your report and add additional information.
What happens after you reported a concern?
We take all concerns seriously and will take the appropriate action on each report. We will keep you informed on our progress whilst processing your concern. For more information on what happens after you reported your concern, please refer to IDH Speak Up policy.
