Together with our partners, we’re working to develop sustainable business models, create positive on-the-ground impact and improve sector governance in key cocoa-producing countries.
Cocoa farming is one of the major causes of forest degradation in West Africa. Efforts to make the cocoa sector sustainable at a social, environmental and economic level will not be attainable unless farmers earn at least a living income.
To this end, we advocate shared responsibility across the entire supply chain. Convening public-private commitments to create an enabling environment, ensure more sustainable procurement practices, and accelerate investments in the sourcing of sustainable cocoa.
Through our Roadmap on Living Income we further progress solutions and guide investments to create more value for producers, protect the environment, and ensure traceability and data transparency.

Cocoaperation aims to reduce the living income gap - from over 50% to below 30% - for 100,000 farming households across Côte d’Ivoire, by 2025.
CFI is a multi-stakeholder effort to eliminate deforestation and support farmers' income in the cocoa supply chain in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.
Aims to support farming families, eliminate deforestation and end child labour in cocoa producing regions which are important to Dutch markets.
Beyond Chocolate aims to enable cocoa growers supplying the Belgian market to earn at least a living income and to eliminate deforestation.
The Roadmap will help create a competitive advantage for Cameroonian cocoa in the global market.
