IRBC Agreement Floriculture - Code of Conduct (English)
A starting point for a due diligence process
One of the core objectives in the IRBC agreement for the floricultural sector (Dutch: IMVO Convenant Sierteeltsector) is that companies implement a due diligence process. The due diligence process is divided into 6 steps. The first step is to indicate for which principles an organization is responsible when it comes to corporate responsibility. In other words: in this step companies communicate how they want to do business sustainably, so that their business partners can take this into account. To ensure an aligned sector position, the members of the IRBC agreement have drawn up a Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is based on existing sustainability requirements (including OECD and UN guidelines, certification and legislation) and has been tailored to the floriculture sector.
The IRBC agreement will publish a Dutch version of the Code of Conduct, as well as a summarizing flyer, in 2022.
