Call for proposals: Colombia pilot design and implementation lead – LATTE
IDH is looking for a Colombia-based Pilot Design and Implementation Lead to execute the technical finalization, partner selection, and operational oversight of three (3) LATTE pilots in Colombia. The assignment will build on existing work and address remaining information gaps to prepare the pilots for implementation.
Climate change poses a significant threat to Latin American coffee production, while smallholder farmers continue to face limited access to climate finance due to high perceived risks and limited access to long-term credit. To address these challenges, IDH launched the Latin American Climate Resilient Coffee Facility (LATTE), a USD 30 million blended finance facility designed to de-risk lending through local financial institutions, including banks, microfinance institutions, and agricultural fintechs. LATTE combines tailored credit products for climate-smart agricultural practices, such as coffee renovation with resilient varieties and agroforestry, with corporate-funded payments linked to verified farm-level results.
