Call for proposals: seed source identification and nursery traceability, Colombian Orinoquia

alt text

IDH invites proposals from qualified organisations or consortia to provide technical assistance for the identification and characterisation of native-species seed sources and the design and implementation of nursery traceability systems for ARR projects in the Colombian Orinoquia.

The assignment will address a key bottleneck for large-scale native-species restoration by generating field-based information on seed provenance, phenology, seed production, germination and availability, while strengthening traceability systems for local nurseries supplying planting material.

The work will cover two target landscapes in Meta, near the Guaviare and Vichada borders, and will include the assessment of approximately 20 nurseries, the identification and georeferencing of priority seed trees and stands, the development of seed-to-seedling traceability protocols, regulatory and environmental documentation support, and an investment and procurement-readiness analysis.

The outputs are expected to reduce establishment and procurement risks, improve planting-material reliability and strengthen the investment readiness of Campo Capital’s ARR pipeline.

The maximum available budget for the assignment is USD 70,000, inclusive of all applicable taxes and expenses. Proposals will be assessed based on the quality and price criteria set out in the Terms of Reference.
