Recruitment of a consultant for a feasibility study on opportunities for carbon financing in the Cavally landscape

The Cavally Nature Reserve (67,596 ha) is an area of crucial ecological importance in the Cavally region and is one of the country’s last remaining primary forests. It is part of a forest corridor connecting the Taï National Park in Côte d’Ivoire with the Grebo-Krahn and Sapo National Parks in Liberia, key biodiversity hotspots in West Africa and home to endangered species.
Côte d'Ivoire, as a signatory to the Paris Agreement, is committed to reducing its GHG emissions. The country is particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, with significant impacts on its agriculture, forests and coastal areas. The Ivorian private sector, including agricultural, industrial and service companies, plays a major role in the national economy and is therefore a key player in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
IDH, Earthworm and SWISSCO are working on several initiatives with the private sector to preserve the Cavally Landscape.
IDH, Earthworm and SWISSCO are looking for a consultant to conduct a feasibility study of carbon and PES projects in the landscape around the Cavally natural reserve.
