B4IG coalition welcomes the Call to Action on Living Wage
The Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG) Coalition pushes forward Living Wage as a corporate priority. In their board meeting on June 21, 2021, they adopted a statement calling to action on living wage.
The B4IG coalition welcomes the Call to Action on Living Wage launched by IDH – The Sustainable Trade Initiative.
Addressing living wage is at the essence of the B4IG Pledge taken by all member companies. Companies can contribute significantly to alleviating poverty in their workplaces and their supply chains, by contributing to creating decent working conditions. Living Wage commitments will be decisive in tackling growing poverty, empowering women and ultimately in delivering the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 in the “Decade of Action”.
IDH strives to secure living wages through the Roadmap on Living Wages. The Roadmap is developed together with companies, international and sustainability organizations interested in advancing living wage efforts.
Through the Roadmap some practical tools are available for those who want to work towards a living wage.

Take action towards a living wage
As IDH is supporting partners securing living wage in supply chains across the globe, we aim for more companies to join us in this journey. Helping workers achieve a living wage is a shared responsibility across the entire supply chain. Yet, the business community must be a driving force. That is why we are calling for action together with a group of companies, and encourage other businesses to join as well.Join global companies Aldi Nord, Aldi Sud, Agrofair, Eosta, Fyffes, Fairphone, Hershey, L’Oréal, Schijvens, Schneider Electric, Superunie, Taylors of Harrogate, and Unilever and express your commitment to work towards living wages, while calling on other stakeholders to do the same.
IDH also aims to find feasible and workable solutions to close the living wage gap in supply chains. We identified five best practices based on the work that IDH and its partners have already accomplished.[video index="3"/]
