Request for Proposal: Rebuilding of the Salary Matrix Tool

alt text

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks a qualified service provider to rebuild the Salary Matrix to improve scalability, usability, modularity, and cost-efficiency, while laying the foundation for future premium features.

One of IDH’s key focus areas is promoting living wages in global supply chains. To support this, we developed the Salary Matrix, a digital tool that enables production facilities worldwide to assess and understand the living wage gaps of their workers.

The tool has been in use since 2021 across multiple sectors and regions, and it supports users to assess their wages, bonuses and in-kind benefits provided to workers and make them comparable by adjusting to a full-time equivalent, which can be compared with a living wage benchmark. It has been instrumental in helping companies take the first step toward closing these gaps by providing a clear, data-driven picture of wage realities on the ground.

As the tool has grown in adoption across sectors and geographies, we recognise the need to rebuild it for greater scalability, usability, and cost-efficiency.  This ToR outlines our vision for the next generation of the Salary Matrix—one that is modular, globally accessible, and future-ready for premium features that enhance value for users and stakeholders alike.
